We were contacted by Christian Randall as a possible sponsor to help him compete in the TransAtlanticWay cycling race in June 2018. The TransAtlanticWay race is a 2500km one stage self-supported road bike race between Dublin and Cork via the Wild Atlantic way.
After authenticating Christian, MGC investigated the TransAtlanticWay cycling race https://www.transatlanticway.com/ and were very impressed with the passion and fitness needed by these athletes. Last year’s winner completed the course in 6 days 2 hours which is impressive to say the least!
Although Christian has no record of ultra-endurance races we have no doubt he will finish this race – we’re hoping for 6 days and 1 hour . While at school Christian was a finalist in the British Youth Climbing series and shortly after won many national rowing events.
Christian is a bit of an “action man “combining a University degree with his passion for cycling and charitable works. He’s completed many European tours including;
Cycling from Bedford (UK) to Bergen (N) in 2012;
Menton (F) to Gibraltar (GIB) in 2013;
Zurich (SW) to Budapest (H) in 2015;
Caen (F) to Carcassonne (F) in 2016.
Christian is in constant training (and eating) and prepares to take his passion for cycling to the next level by entering the TransAtlanticWay cycling race.
He has been collecting vital quality equipment necessary for this race but needed help raising money to get the last items on his list. Namely a front Exposure Revo Dynamo Light 800 lumens and a rear Supernova E3 Dynamo Tail Light 2.
As MGC love all lighting fixtures, we felt it was appropriate to fund these items and help illuminate his way across the finish line!!!
