Conservation Group more visible thanks to MGC
Ipswich-based international lighting distributor, MGC Lighting Group, has donated 15 high-visibility jackets to the Suffolk Amphibian and Reptile Group (SARG), to help the conservation group keep its members safe at night.
Commenting on the decision to support SARG, David Jackson, International Sales Director at MGC Lighting, said: "The amphibian and reptile market is an area we are becoming increasingly involved in. We also feel passionately that conservation groups who volunteer their time to protect our native wildlife should receive the appropriate support and recognition.
"When we heard that SARG members were carrying out important conservation work at night, we were very keen to help. This opportunity has also enabled us to give something back to the local community, which we are always keen to do when we can."
Duncan Sweeting, Chair at SARG, is grateful for the support: "As a charitable group we rely very heavily on the generosity of local businesses and individuals. We were delighted to be contacted by MGC Lighting and are pleased to report that the jackets are being put to good use by our members, who are currently helping toads across our county’s roads at night."
MGC is fast developing a reputation as one of the UK’s leading distributors of specialist lighting for commercial reptile enclosures and aquariums and is an approved distributor for Arcadia, a leading lighting manufacturer in the sector.
