MGC Lighting Wins International Trade Award
MGC Lighting Group overcame stiff competition at this year’s Anglian Business Awards to win the International Trade category.
The company was one of three prominent Suffolk and north Essex businesses short-listed for the award. Winners were announced at a gala event held in Ipswich on Wednesday July 4, which was hosted by the East Anglian Daily Times – the leading daily regional newspaper for East Anglia – and sponsored by EDF Energy and the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce.
Award judges were impressed by MGC’s focus on quality of service and the long-term relationships it has forged with many of its customers – both domestic and overseas. The recent rebranding of the business was also seen as a positive step forward, as it communicated the company’s ability to think strategically and evolve the business to secure additional trade from emerging international markets.
Managing Director of MGC Lighting, James Greig
, is proud of what the business has accomplished “We have worked hard to achieve international success so it is really rewarding to obtain this level of recognition. Our success in overseas markets plays a vital role in our ongoing development, as it enables us to invest more in our business on a domestic, as well as international, level.”
James concluded: “The recent rebranding of the business was a strategic step forward to enable us to reflect the fact that MGC is a large modern company with global coverage, a loyal customer base, and a team that possesses technical knowledge that is second to none in our industry. Early indicators, including our outstanding achievement at the Anglian Business Awards, suggest that the rebranding has been a total success.”
